Wow, things are becoming a little tougher for me these days. My lower back and pelvic region ache when I walk and that has put nearly a full stop to my physical activity. I took the kids blackberry foraging a few days a go, and just that walk, left me in pain. The walk back to the car was a matter of mind over matter. Ouch!
I ordered a favourite prenatal Pilates DVD to do at home. Stott Pilates is the best way to get into shape and stay in shape.
My weight gain has been rapid, but what did I expect? Or hoped, should I say? 4th time around, and 4th time the same. I gain weight, and a lot of it.
I had my sugar testing done today at the lab. Yuck, that potion they feed you tastes awful! I must say that I prefer the basic sugar water the Finnish labs give you over this orange soda-throat burning-stomach churning- stuff. The test wasn't too bad, done and dusted in a hour.
I'm feeling nauseous in this heat! I feel like I can't breathe well and that just does it for me. I get short of breath, light headed and sweaty. I sit in front of a fan until it passes. The weather has been so humid, it's not my cup a tea.
I'm still de-itemizing my home! We have made good progress so far. I really believe that it will always go on forever... sigh.
Here is what I've been up to,
Kimbap! Korean Sushi...
either home made of store bought. I've "craved" for this stuff... almost daily.
Blackberry foraging. I blend the berries, sieve out the seeds, dehydrate them and grind them into a powder. This way I can put them in my smoothies and digest them. Absorbing the goodness!
Nutrient content of seeds
Blackberries contain numerous large seeds that are not always preferred by consumers. The seeds contain oil rich in omega-3 (alpha-linolenic acid) and -6 fats (linoleic acid) as well as protein, dietary fibre, carotenoids, ellagitannins and ellagic acid.
Precious Scans! I've had seriel scans booked and it never gets old!
NEVER! Sweet little baby... I can't wait!
28 and 29 weeks give or take a day... or two
yes, it does look like an egg!
Nothing to it, just mango and my Nutribullet. Quick and simple!
What else...?
Oh yes... my juicing... it still exists! However, here is a confession... I scuffed down a Mars bar today!
So, I've been bummed out over my weight quite a bit. I think I have come to the conclusion to just keep on pressing forwards and do what I can. The days have been so hot that my feet have swelled up and I feel like I am wearing tight socks. I haven't been drinking enough water, that's for sure. I gotta keep on top of that. I'm suffering through a leg cramp as I type here... but my stomach cannot handle magnesium right now. I think I will be purchasing an ionic magnesium supplement next paycheck!
I got 10 ish weeks to go... and I'm starting to realize how fast time flies! I forget what one needs to pack for the hospital and what to prep for, baby wise... I forget!
Tell me, what is it that we need to pack in our hospital bags??

Sorry to hear it's getting harder now! But at least you're 3/4 there. I'm rooting for you! :)
VastaaPoistaWhen I was packing my bag for Lukas, the camera changer was one of my top items to remember. I made sure to have the camera charged for weeks and packed at all times. Other good things to remember: phone charger, healthy snacks, comfy bra, coming home clothes, a good book to read, Lansinoh & nipple shields (just in case), your own shampoo and body wash (if you don't want to use the hospital stuff), shea butter for you and the baby, and your vitamins (don't want to forget those). That's what comes to my mind!
Oh, and a pyjama and change of clothes for Simon if he's staying at the hospital with you. We forgot about that... :P
